OS 160 twin 3 blade prop size
Anyone using 3 blade props on their OS 160 twin? What size are you using on what airplane?I have a OS160 on my Hang9 Cessna 182 and it currently flys nicely with a 2 blade 18x6 glass prop but would like to try a 3 blader...SteveD

Three bladed props
Steve, I don't know how your engine compares in power to a Saito 150, I run a Graupner 15x8 three blade and sometimes a MA 16x8 three blade with .5 inch cut off the tip. The MA turns about 9,200, Graupner about 9,000, and I'm disappointed that it will only turn a 16x8 ProZinger at 8,800, but it's only on 10% nitro.

Hey SteveD
Please post the outcome , I have a ft-160 as well
and if I ever decide to 3 blade it , I'll have at least
a good starting point.

three bladed 160 twin
Steve, I have two of these mounted in biplanes. It would be good to know your results as I have been considering the Large H9 Skylane as well. How does it fly with the 160T? Do you feel you have enough power with the present prop?
Thanks, Tim

OS160T
It has ample power and then some Tim,but is definetly not overpowered. It my opinion it is the right engine for scalelike flight. It will still do a nice size loop (with 15-20 deg/flap)without diving if that tells you anything....also it fits perfectly,,,SteveD
