Hi,
Has anybody ran one of the new Evolution engines? I have seen several of the trainer engines and they seem to be good ones. Anybody got any good info on the new engines? I am considering getting the .61.
Thanks,
Alan

Jim,
I was thinking by the way the trainer engines ran that these others should be pretty good engines too. In your opinion is it as strong as a Thunder Tiger or O.S.?
Thanks for the reply,
Alan

It wasn't my plane and I wasn't able to put a tach on it, but it sure sounded good.
The best I can figure, they seem to be made by Sanye on the north edge of Hong Kong, who also make the Magnum and ASP engines.
The Evolution NT series runs rather strong from the sound of it.
Enjoy,
Jim

I grew up there but always lived here since Monday after I graduated.
I was just there in Auburn the first 2 weeks of July.
I talked to some of the guys that fly around there. They lost their field up at Gold Hill and have found a new one at a private airstrip down at Society Hill. There is a nice Hobby shop at Flints crossing about where the old drive-in theater used to be. That accross from the mall or where the old Dairyland Farms place used to be.

Jim,
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I stay pretty busy on the weekends. It was hard to find a place to fly when I was there. I just graduated in '98. The hobby shop was just getting started when I left from there. Wasn't that a great place, I had many good times there, even brought home a wife!! I haven't been back but 1 or 2 times since '98, it sure has changed a lot in just those few years. What was your major?
