Mecoa has been around for a few years. Some were made in USA. Some were made in Western Europe. Now they seem to be LEO's made in China. All models run about the same and most parts will interchange.

They are basically copies of the OS 'SF' series of engines. They run about the same as the 'SF' engines. The MEGATECH series of engines are the same as the MECOA's except for the name on them.

The Mecoa 32's and Megatech 37's are made very much like the OS 32 SX series of engines and also run very much like them.

Enjoy,

Jim

Look at www.justengines.unseen.org and go to the Leo engines. The whole line up is there. Check converted prices and compare with the Mega Tech and Mecoa lines.

The guy that is the chief is a son-in-law of the man who owns Thunder Tiger who was a chief engineer at OS back in the good days.

Enjoy,

Veco:

MECoA is not just MECoA engines, they are RJL, HP, HB (USA), Holland, Kraft, and many others, including the Veco engine line. Which should interest you.

They are also now the owners of K&B, and if you fly K&B they have a pretty good parts stock.

While they are selling some Red Chinese engines, the vast majority of their line is made by RJL Industries, which is MECoA's parent corporation.

Lots of MECOA .46s in my area including me. All run well. And at $49.00 with a trade in they are a great value. Put a GMS/Tower muffler and get 400 extra RPM.
