Default Suggested 4 stroke equivalent

I have a profile plane that the suggested engine size is 25-32 2 stroke. Is there an equivalent 4 stroke that I can use?

What is the profile plane you have?
if it is a 3D type or stunt plane then...
Usually the smaller profile planes are intended to be very light so they have a light wing loading to perform best.
The Saito FA40a actually weights slightly less than a ThunderTiger 36 pro. So it would be a good candidate. The other 4 strokes tend to weigh noticeably more than the 2 stroke engines weigh.

I use a .41 (enya) four stroke on a small acrobat originally designed for a .25 two stroke. <div>11x7 has been the prop of choice.

My Magnum .30 FS worked OK on my Kadet Jr but it doesnt perform as well as even a bushing .25.
I would say the Saito .40 would be the best compromise, it is built on a .30 size case and well,,, its a Saito.

Is your profile ship a 3D type?

The Saito .40 or O.S. .40 Surpass might be the closest and lightest?

You start getting much bigger in displacement and the wt. goes up significantly.

As earl started the closest 4 stroke is the Saito 40. it will turn a APC 12x4 at around 11,000 on 30% with a 4-6 ounce tank. The OS 26/30, magnum 30 will not be anywhere close to the same power as the Saito 40. The saito 40 will be down power by a little bit over the .32 Two stroke but not by much. the next up is the Saito 56 but is about 5-7 more ounces in weight and will need a larger engine mount and tank. more weight.
