Default Evolution engine 46 problem

I need some help to figure out this problem, I got an glow engine Evolution 46

Here's what happens:

I've replaced the factory muffler for a pits muffler, everything works fine, except that for some reason when I close the carburator all the way ( I mean fully close 100%) the engine does not quit at all, I even did it manually just pulling the rod back and the engine keeps running, it just don't stop.

I am out of ideas, anyone knows what this can be..?

Thanks
Carlos

You likely have an air leak between the carb and the case spigot. Try loosening the carb draw bolt and while pushing down on the carb to compress the "O" ring, tighten the draw bolt. Also, make sure you are closing the carb completely and do not have it stopped partially open. Evo 46 are known for air leaks and running on after shut down. Do a search and you will find more hints. I have a 36, a 46, and a 61 and no problems with them. Good luck

Also check the bolts on the back plate. They might be loose and and that could cause an air leak.

The crankshaft may be a loose fit in the crankcase. Very good for best power. Webra engines had this too. A few drops of after run with teflon additive after each flight will cure it if this is the case.
