Default saito question please:

i just got a saito fa-90t mkII, how can i identify that in fact this is the model of that engine? also i need please to know how can i get the manual for the saito fa-90t mkII ? please.
i see in the engine the dual holes in the carb sistem, but when moving the mechanism that opens and closes, i can't see the barndoors opening and closing in the opening; any information?

Are you watching the reed valves?  They will open with engine vacuum on the intake stroke.

In every engine i have, i can see in the carb the throtle openibg snd closing, in this twin i dont see anything opening or clossing;any ideas?

Sorry, this engine does not have reed valves or throttle plate. I was thinking this was a gas engine. See my pm.

You mean the spray bar does not move?

The FA90 MkII is a twin engine that came out in the early 80's. Excellent engine. PM me your address and I'll send you a copy of the instruction sheet.

It has a dual carb and you must set both cylinders. Not hard to do but it takes a touch. Same with the air bleed idle. Great engine. I run mine on 10% nitro and a 14x6 prop.

There are no reed valves or anything like that. There are two standard airbleed carbs in one aluminum block. You can't see the rotor turn as there is a 90 degree bend or turn in the airflow.

Instructions are on the way. I also included instruction sheet on how to set the carb. No charge.

Havent checked yet,sorry, i have been in bed since monday, i had a medical procedure done and im in bed. As soon i can ill check the mail and let you know. Thanks for your help.

I got the instructions today, Thanks to fordman1 for your help and taking the time to send the instructions, now ill be able to know how to run the engine.
Rcu members like fordman1 that are always willing to share knowledge with other rcu members is one of the things that make this site great.
