I am thinking of mounting a Moki2.1 inverted in my next project. It will have an intelligent glow driver ( senses the glow plug temp and applies power as needed) and a Cline regulator to supply fuel. Will it work reliably or should I side mount it? Side mounting will require a lot of surgery on the cowl so I am trying to avoid this.
Thanks!

I can share what I've recently seen from a pair of experts in my club. WorldModels GiantScale P-51 warbird versions. They both brought these planes out decked out to the hilt. Both planes running Moki 2.1's inverted, no onboard glow whatsoever. One of these had about an hour on the engine, and the other was about a half-hour.
They did run both planes in a break-in setting for a few hours with absolutely no prob. Started easily every time, sounded like animals when opened up, and purred like kittens when idling.
They flew one of the 51's that day, as the other one didn't have the break-in time they yet wanted.
So yes they do work, I can tell you that much, someone that has first hand experience should comment here also though.
It was such a sight to see though, these gents knew thier stuff, and it's really hard to keep your eyes off of 2 beautiful P-51's expertly built, and being handled by experienced, patient modelers. I must add the first flight of the one that flew was picture perfect. I went home on that note, and it wasn't even my perfect flight.....just that good. All running inverted Moki's.
