RE: New OS engines
i dont see them any different than any other motor of same size except price. I only only see people that love OS so much will buy them. With all the other cheap Motors and even good one cheaper than OS i dont see them selling to many.
I will buy a few for a collectors thing.

O.S. Motors have 3 ball bearings, most other brands only 2. The O.S. prop adapter allows you to use many different propeller brands. I like the new motors.

RE: New OS engines
And the thing I would like to read when I saw this thread was that OS made a new 4 stroke gasoline engine. I think it is a matter of time afterall and soon it will be announced.

RE: New OS engines
MP Jet and MVVS, Czech manufacturers, went to electric motor manufacture a decade ago.
With the rise of quality low cost Chinese electric motors, they are now going back to IC engine production.
OS has missed the boat IMO.

It's almost like an old relative dying, you know it's going to happen soon, but it still hurts just the same...

Bruce,
They do own OS. I think they were acquired around 1995, but I could be wrong. You can link directly to Futaba from the OS English site: http://www.os-engines.co.jp/english/index.htm
