Hi Guys; How do you remove a prop stud without marking the eng. & the stud all up ? Thanks.veco

First have two prop nuts on the shaft and tighten one against the other.The nut nearest the front bearing surface is the one to use when undoing the prop stud (providing its a removable one!)
Next place the crankshaft in the vice using soft jaws( Aluminium,or hard wood will suffice)these will prevent damage to the surface of the crankshaft. Now undo the nut as above to remove the prop stud
