Measure the bore of the carb inlet where the carb would sit on the crankcase. There are a lot of different sized carb "necks" for different engines. A carb from a different branded .75 may or may not fit.

By the way its worded, the OP doesnt want an OS made carb. Maybe the all caps threw me off and I misread it though..

And at $70, I'd want to find a cheaper alternative also.

<span class="st">I would suggest a Perry Carb. http://www.perrypumps.com/prod01.htm
But we need to know the size of the hole in the engine where the carb fits in.
Can you measure that and let us know.
You can also get Perry Carb's off of Ebay too.

Yeah even on Ebay the OS carb tends to be expensive. But OS does make good carbs though. The price for the carb isn't all that bad though considering how much the OS .75AX engine costs overall.

Many, many carbs do have the same mounting size though. It's just a matter of locating one that isn't in use somewhere; start asking the club members what they might have that you can try. I found a Tower Hobbies 75 carb that worked great in my Super Tigre 90 for example. There are lots of OS 61's out there, dead and alive. I don't remember if they all had the rear needle valve or not though, but might be a drop in fit. Good luck, just a matter of time.
