I've been flying 46FX's on various planes for a number of years - right side up, upside down, sideways. They perform well in any attitude. Just make sure you get the center of the fuel tank in line with the carburetor.

I just bought a 40 size Mustang with a OS 46FX and its mounted on its side. Runs great as long as your HS and LS needle valves are set correctly then you shouldnt have any problem. I also agree with "propshaft" making sure those fuel lines are lined up also!!

On my flightstar trainer and just about any trainer, I don't see how you could ever get your tank center line to match your carb's center line. The tanks sit much lower than the carb. How can this be? Maybe the 46FX is not good for trainers?
