I don't know what you guys consider loud, but my Jett .35 with open faced exhaust was deafening. I didn't run it very long that way needless to say. My ST S90 didn't even compare. I may have to use my decibel meter next time. Muffler or no muffler, the Jett's are head turners.

What are you running for a prop, and fuel in the Jett 35?
What kind of rpm are you getting with this set up?

Can I join? I have a Norvel AX-40, 2 Irvine 40 (older 2-piece case), Super Tigre G51, OS 55AX, Fox Eagle 74, SK90, ASP91, OS 70 Surpass II, Thunder Tiger 75FS, Siato 82, and Saito 91.

I use 5% nitro with synth/castor blend on the 2 strokes, and 20% nitro/20% synth on the 4-strokes.

I also have a couple of gassers and a couple of small electric parkfliers, but I won't bore you with those details.

Engine is not broke in yet. Maybe at 3/4-1 gallon? Using a 9x5 APC peaked at 18,700 but backed off to 17,800rpm. 9x6 APC peaks at 17,600rpm. Until it loosens up more I'll continue with the 9x5 or 8x6 set 1,000rpm rich of peak. I have the AAC P/L upgrade. Fuel is 15% nitro 20% oil (50/50 Klotz Techniplate/SIG castor) homebrew. Glow plug is a McCoy MC59.

Flying along having a good time ripping thru the sky wide open throttle, slow down to half throttle, turn in the wind when "Snap",plane wobbles, turn around, ease it on the runway, see covering flapping all over the right elevator. The elevator snapped even with fuse. Lucky I got it on the ground. Oh well it was fun. Went thru 1/2 gallon of sweet nitro.

I run an OS 32 SX in a Diamond Dust. With an Ultrathrust 1/4 wave muffler and an APC 8 X 8, it gets a little over 18,000 rpm using Morgan 20 20 fuel. I can get a little more out of it with a Mac's tuned pipe, but not really worth the extra fiddling. It already goes too fast for me. Not use to it yet.
Gotta love those screamers.
The Jett and Nelson engines lead in the screamer category.

Have a Jett tuned muffler on several plane including the l a racer that lost part of the tail feathers today. They sound great. When 3 or 4 of us are up at the same time, I tend to drown out the others.
