Hey, that looks sweet. I want one for mine! My 70 will either go in a great planes kit built RV-4 or a SIG 1/6 cub. Right now the cub has a Saito FA 40 that flies it very very scale like, by that I mean barely enough power to fly it, but I want to fly it off of water which will never happen with the 40. As it is, I can't loop it. I have to dive it first to get enough speed.

I believe we identified it as a Pheonix models Sukhoi 31. Found a build thread and the 70 is going to be perfect.

Hey Steve! I just use my MS Excel with the SIG & Kadet b'hoods. Works great! One file for both b'hoods, just have several sheets for various things I like to keep track of.

Jeffie, that Sukhoi's beautiful!!

Thanks, I have been looking for just the right plane for that big 70 and it just fell into my hands. Mounted it up today at a 90 degree but I didn't have a fuel tank to finish it up so I will have to order one.

I WONT STOP RAINING !! I am up to about 4 gallons or so I think , its spread out over a couple different blends so its hard to sure, I use 25% in some like my little 26 Surpass and Norvel .061, and I use 15% in most others(the vast majority of my uses) like my Saito 62 Saito 50 OS40Surpass etc, and I use 5% in my Irvine 72 and will use it in my Super Tigre 60 in my Nexstar starting this weekend IF it ever stops raining.

hey fellar's, I picked up a .52 2stk today and was just wondering who makes the thing. it looks like an older os with a 52 in a circle on a single bar down the side of the cylinder. on the other side, it looks for all the world like a rectangle with a 7,with a period underneath, with an S below that. any idea's would be much appreciated

oh , and don't sweat the little stuff steve. I have enough numbers in my life pertaining to me and who I am. but it will be appreciated whenever you do get around to it. through it all, as long as my kids think I'm number one, then the rest of it really don't matter all that much. know what I mean

Maybe a Tiger Shark? The 7 is probably a fancy "T". I believe they were made in the same factory as ASP/Magnum and look very similar.

So I figured out how I can do this roster thing. Sorry, I'm not too tech savy. I just have to take the time now and do it. I'll try and get it done today.

hey thanks jim, I appreciate it . I've been trying to figure out how to add pic's to a post, but so far no luck. it look's a lot like an o.s. and I figured it was a copycat . but I got it yesterday at the lhs while I was there looking for a muffler for the asp .61a that I got from a friend a couple of weeks ago. picked it up for $5 in hopes that the muffler might be big enough, of course it's not but I'd like to get some info about the 52 just the same and see if I can get her fired up. I've got an older spektrum tainer that I'd like to mount it on. thanks for your help.

Now that I can help with. The pics I mean. Go to go advanced instead of post quick reply, click on add attachments, or manage attachments, whichever it says, go and click on add files. Then click on either existing file, or take picture if using a phone or tablet" if on a desktop you have to first upload the pic into the computer then click on add existing. Then just click on upload and once the pic appears in the box at lower left corner, just click post reply and voila, your there.

I had a TS .46 some years ago. It was so-so for power. I would try an 11x6 or 11x7 Master Airscrew prop (not too heavy a load), some 10% Omega or something with a little castor oil like Wildcat Premium. I think you'll find that it will perform like a .46 from OS or Thunder Tiger or a good Magnum .46 would. Jim Goad had said that these were the bottom rung of the GMS/ASP/TS ladder that he was selling years ago.
Good luck,
Jim

thanks for the info.I just picked it up for $5 with a muffler. so if it'll run the it was worth it I guess. so Flyer , I see by your signature that you have a couple of saito 150's. what set up do you use for them and what kind of planes do you fly them in? and if you say it's a twin , I'm gonna lose it...

I'm just finishing up a rebuild of a CG Ultimate bipe (20+ years old) for the one 150. The other is idle just now. I would love to build a John Tanzer "Witchcraft" twin for the 150s - I think that's what it was called. I run the 150s with 16x8 APC on 15%.

I have 3 twins now - a Dual Ace with Magnum 61 4/S, a Northeast Aerodynamics Twin-Aire 20 with OS 32 SXs and a TwinStar with K&B 28 Sportsters. Still in the box: Wing Mfg. P-38, NE Aero Twin-Aire 40 (special run of kits made in 2012). These are on my blog (same name) at RCG.

Speaking of twins, I have a pair of OS 25 FSR's that I'm dying to run together. Anyone know of a good airframe for em?

Steve,
The TwinStar is too small for those, as is the Profile 38. You would love the Twin-Aire 20 (see mine on RCG). Try to find one (tough) or PM me and we can do a "I'll loan the plans for you to copy" deal. Of course, that becomes a scratch build .....
