John,

I have a few ETA .29's including the Eastern European mk4 copy. What do you need to know?

Regards Ray

My very first engine back in the late '50's was a second hand ETA 29 which I used to learn to fly CL. I now have a Mk4 (from Ebay) that needed a new cylinder head (maybe from you Ray? I forget now) and a couple of screw holes that had to be retapped.
My second engine was an MS29 which I stupidly sold in the early '80's but almost unbelievably turned up on Ebay nearly 2 years ago (I recognised it!) and is now back in my possession .

The ETA's do turn a stunt prop very well and their starting hot or cold is excellent. Nice sport engine for control line except they're extremely loud. There's quite a difference between a mk4 and a mk6 in power output as well. Lot's of 'em around in pieces in old cl-ers workshop draws. :-)
