Default OPS .40 marine

Hello everyone. Ive got a .40 OPS that i plan to put in a hydroplane. I bought the engine off ebay. I have already disassembled the engine, i plan to polish it up a bit and change the crank bearings, theyre a little crunchy. I have a couple of questions about the engine; parts sourcing/availability, and a couple of specifics that im not quite sure on. I will upload pictures this evening, lord willing. Stay tuned!

Here is the engine diasssembled. It has a watercooled head, but it doesnt look like the one that these engines came with. Anyone have any insight on it?

Try RC groups. Not much action here. OPS always had rough sand castings although they performed well.

Bill Hughes still sells OPS motors. Not sure if he carries marine, or has anything that is older. That head is likely stock, although I would not know for sure. I have a .45.

That is the head. Bearings get the Boca bearings. Being an older engine it might be best to start looking for a NOS or used engine for parts. Being a marine engine maybe try boat specific groups.
I run K&B marine so when I find used engines I buy them for parts.

Anyways what questions do have? Might help if we knew what you wanted to know.
