Default Webra 61 Log Stroke?

Have any of you Webra fans seen or heard of a long stroke Webra 61 with a 22.5 mm bore and a 24 mm stroke. The standard 61 is 24 mm bore and 22.5 mm bore.

Yes they are real ! The long strokes are identified by the machined silver band around their cylinder head. I'm not sure if they all had that but if they do, it's a LS. Unfortunately that's about all I know about these beautiful and charismatic engines. What a pity they are gone.

Thanks, that's the one I have, it came without a carb, I have a Kavan carb that fits perfectly. It wears new Boca Bearings and RMJ is sending me a new Dykes ring for it.

Have you decided what aircraft model you are putting the Webra in ? A classic pattern plane ?

Yes I was going to say the same ( great match ). Lower revving high torque engine swinging a larger diameter prop. sounds perfect for 3D vertical performance.

I am going to get a classic pattern plane for mine ( I think from Hangar-One in New Zealand ). I have never run my Webra nor had a classic pattern plane so I have a steep learning curve ahead of me !

Thanks for this thread on these fantastic engines as it's fired me up to get back to work.

Dave,
When you say red, I have two red Ultra Stick 10cc. The older is red and transparent yellow. The newer is red and white. Are you putting it on one of those two?

My favorite too. Not only a different color scheme, It has different proportions than the white version.

The 120 version was called the Ultra Stick Lite, I don't know if the 60 was called Lite or not. I set the 120 up for the crow configuration but have the flaps anchored in the neutral position with control rods

The three engines on the left also share the same stroke and bore listed at the beginning of the thread.

That's interesting. At first I thought you had "type-od" and meant to say the three engines on the right ( the three red heads ). Then I looked more closely and noticed the three engines on the left have casting bosses at the top of the cylinder fins around the screw holes, which seem to extend closer to the edges of the cylinder finning than on the rightmost engine. Yet all four engines have the grooves in the cylinder heads that indicate long strokes. Maybe the rightmost engine has a non-standard head fitted ? ( i.e. a LS head is fitted to a short stroke engine ? ).

Those red headed Webras look particularly nice. I hardly ever see them for sale.

Good eye.
From left to right.
Webra 61 racing 1033RC
Webra 61 racing competition 1033c
Webra 61 racing competition 1033c
Webra 80 racing competition 1039
All share the same rod and front housing. Black head crankshaft is 1/4 shaft. The 1033c and 1039 share the same crankshaft.
All are great running engines.
