Does anyone have any comments or input on the GMS engines. Like most I really like to save a few dollars but not to the point of loss of a plane. Looked at the ad on Tower and did not see any reference for pitt style muffler available.

Don't know anything about the smaller engines but there are three of the GMS 1.20 engines at our field. The owners just love them, they might not be the most powerful 1.20's around but they are certainly the most user friendly. They start easy and don't quit till you turn them off, they don't guzzle fuel and they run real good on 5% nitro. They use the same muffler as the Webra 1.20

I had 2 gms 76's a year or two ago and they were decent motors. A little touchy during break in but after that very strong. The mufflers like to fall apart (like may others). I had a pitts on it that I bought from Jtec. It also used the webra 120 mount ( the larger engines are webra clones) They tolearted 10% nitro with no problem
