Any reviews about rossi .53? How does the engine perform on idle?? Which is the best plug for these engines?
I need to overpower my 45 size plane. what other options do I have?

I have never owned a Rossi 53 but I do know it shares the same case as the Rossi 40 and 45. Because the Rossi 40/45/53 all have a 17mm crank the only other engines that really compare to them are the K&B 48, Nelson and Jett. Other engines of similar displacement are the O.S. 50SX, Webra 50GT, MVVS 49, Irvine 53, ST 51, and Novarossi 5?. To my knowledge they all have 15mm crankshafts. From what I have heard the Irvine is the sweetest one of the bunch. But if you are after total performance then you will probably be happiest with the Jett.

The Jett .50 not only the Most Powerful, but also a very Reliable and Friendly engine to use. None of the Sport engine out there in the market place are even close as to comparing to the Jett .50 in term of Idle, Transition/Responsiveness or Reliability. In term of power, 17,000+ RPM w/10x6 APC, there's no competition from any manufacturer that I know of. That's a true sweetness... I mean sweetest in itself
