Default Evolution .40 transition problems.....

This is a pretty well broken in engine now with a season of training on it under Cool Power pink. It's not been an easy life as the plane it was in fluttered out of the back of a pickup on the road and scuffed the top edge of the carb throat opening and broke a few fins but it has run pretty well..... Until recently.
I cannot get it to transition. I seems too lean but I have adjusted the low speed to the end of it's adjustment. I set the HS needle to get predictable results and a constant rpm. I get a decent idle but no transition. When I start the transition it bogs and choking it with my finger over the carb (yeah yeah... I know but it's my blood) sustains it.
Has anyone else found it necessary to adjust the LS past the stops they provide?

Is your fuel fresh?

I helped two people who had problems with these engines. The were impossible to tune... in both cases it turned out to be bad fuel. In one cases the fuel (Omega, the pink stuff) had darkend and was obviously messed up. In the second it wasn't obvously bad, but the jug was nearly empty so not entirely fresh. New fuel, and voila, no problem.

Nah... It's new fuel. New earlier this season, about gone so the engine has about a gallon thru it.
