Default Best engine for speed in Aresti 40

I'm looking for what would be the best two-stroke engine in my Aresti 40. I'm looking for speed but also pretty good throttle response. I have looked at the Thunder Tiger 61 and also the OS 91 FX. Would the 91 be way to much power. I need that proper balance of power vs weight. Please let me know what your thoughts are.

Thanks,

Having already made the mistake of grossly overpowering my Arresti, I
can say....don't get too carried away looking for too much speed. They
are suceptable to flutter at high speed....mine almost blew apart. If it
were not for the duel elevators....mine would be toast....[X(]....I have
it fixed, and pretty well sorted out now....

....if I were to do another one, I would put either the YS .63 four stroke,
or my favorite .46 replacement motor....a re-carbed K&B .61 in it.

Dave.

My buddy has one with an Irvine .53 in it. Almost to fast to handle through the pylons.
Seems to be a real nice combo

I have a friend that I fly with that loves to put webra .61 in the Arresti. It is a light engine with lots of power, good combination.

I have a buddy that has a Tower .46 on his and it moves along pretty good. It was clocked at 97 MPH. Not bad for a Tower .46. If it were mine, I'd put a Rossi .40 or a YS .46 on it. You talk about move on! It would difinately go places! You'd probably get close to 115-120 out of it if you were to prop it right. Just my 2 cents.
Sorta on the same subject, but different plane. I have a Sig Cougar with a Picco .40 on it. I clocked it this week at 122 MPH. You may want to try a Picco. I love mine.

Good Luck,

John
