I took a 2x4 and 3 small 2x1's. Mounted the engine to the 2x1 and mounted the 2x1 to the 2x4. Used the 3rd piece of 2x1 to stabilize the back end of the 2x1's against the 2x4. And then used two C-clamps to mount the whole thing to a table.
For a total cost of $69 in lag bolts and nuts. The wood...I already had. Or you can buy an engine clamp for $20 that you still have to screw into a 2x4.
Mine is not all that adjustable though....but it took me about the time it takes to drive to the nearest model shop and back...about 45 minutes.
I only built it because I'm messing with the engine...just changed out the carb. Normally, I break my engines in on the plane. Is there a reason why you can't break it in on the plane?
