Default Fitting mufflers

I have purchased a new Moki 2.1 engine and got a muffler from Pica to fit into a Pica 1/6 Spitfire. The muffler is sold by Pica but made by JTec. The muffler input is smaller than the output for the engine. Should I resize the muffler input to match the engine exhaust port?

John:

Matching ports never hurts, but I'm sure many people have run the same combination without doing it. So it's really your choice.

Bill.

Thanks. I have yet to run the engine and will see what happens when I start the break in.
My concern was back pressure, etc.

John
