Just for those curious. I now have almost the whole first gallon through this motor, sort of, and that means just about 3 hours on the motor...it is MOST thrifty on gas consumption.
Consistently turning now 8280, Bolly 16.5 x 12 Std blade, on MVVS pipe set to 26 1/2" from piston face to baffle.
It has not coughed, been troublesome, died, transitioned poorly, or EVER hesitated. It hauls my nearly 11 1/2lb Zimpro Viper around in the wind with GREAT authority...and will do vertical rolls OOS....
It will be difficult to get a LOT of gas through this motor, as it uses just about 5 oz per 10 minute flight doing the Masters' pattern....A VERY reliable motor, easy to start, great idle, transition, and power. For under $300....it will be a good summer...
