Default Hot Spinner?????

This is my first Aluminum spinner on an engine (Saito 72). Is it common for these to get very warm, almost hot when running on an engine? Do they help to dissipate heat?

The spinner should never get hot from the engine...check to make sure it's not rubbing on anything. Sometimes they can feel a little warm after the engine has stopped for a few minutes when heat soaks down through the crankcase but even then it should barely be noticeable.
