Default PLEASE HELP

HI.
I'M NOT AN ENGINE EXPERT SO I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS:

WEN YOU ARE PERFORMING A BREAK IN ON THE ENGINE, WICH WAY IS FULLY OPENED OR CLOSED? TURNING AGAINST THE PROPELLER,OR AGAINST BACK PLATE?

HOW YOU CAN NOTICE IF THE ENGINE IS RUNNING REACH OR LEAN?

I DONT LOOK FOR SPEED OR CRAZINESS,I'M JUST A REGULAR FLYER THAT LIKE TO RAN THE ENGINE IN THE SMOOTEST WAY WITH THE APPROPIATTE PERFORMANCE AND IN A WAY THAT THEY LAST IN GOOD CONDITION FOR A LONG TIME ;SO WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMEND: REACH OR LEAN?

I GOT A FEW USED ENGINES,HOW YOU CAN TELL THEY IF THEY HAD A GOOD BREAK IN? SHOULD I BREAK INN AGAIN?

I JUST MOUNTED A USED OS 60 FP IN MY HANGAR 9 CESSNA 182,HOW IS THE BEST WAY TO ADJUST THE ENGINE FROM SCRATCH? WHAT SIZE OF PROPELLER? 12 -6 ?

WEN YOU GET A USED ENGINE,HOW YOU CAN DETERMINE THAT THE ENGINE IS IN GOOD RUNNING CONDITION,THAT HAVENT BEEN ABUSED,AND THAT HAS A GOOD COMPRESSION AND A LONG LASTING LIFE?

PLEASE EMAIL TO : [email protected]

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

GOD BLESS EVERYONE.

Hi turissa,

ALWAYS run your engines towards rich. Always use a tachometer when adjusting the high & low needle valves.

Good Flying
