Anyone ran an ASP 4 stroke...65 or 91 or....
Hey guys, I'm thinking about picking up a brand new ASP 4 stroke (65, or a 91 maybe), but no one I know has ever flown one before? Any experiences, godd, bad, or ugly?

I have one of each. The 65 will turn a 13-6 at 10,000 and the 91 does a 14-6 at 9500.
These engines weigh the same therefore you should get the 91 and if you don't need all that power on your plane, just don't run the engine as fast as it will run.
Both engines were easy to break in and adjust. They have never given any trouble.
Enjoy,
Jim

Thanks Jim,
I did a search and was checking out several of the "old threads" for opinions...seems most people are generally pleased with the ASP 4 stroke...especially for the money. I had an older 2 stroke 46 for awhile that screamed....until I hit a tree and tore the carb off.
Already have a Magnum 61 and it's as reliable as they come, so the ASP should be great (since they're basically the same...)
