OMG......The VT-240.

The sound alone is worth whatever you paid for the motor.

Oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh....

The Enya 240 is one sweet motor though it has been discontinued
Last place I saw one was on that one went for around $700 or so if I remember
Nothing like the sound of those things!

I think the new Saito inline twins could easily be referred to as "inline v-twins".

AJ....too cool, Man. It looks like a miniature MotoGuzzi motorcycle engine.

Yup, I bought mine off a guy 4 years ago , flew it for a year and sold it.

Now I am kicking my ass for not holding onto it. But, I needed the $$... []

At least I got to run it for a season and enjoy it, and now it is somewhere back in the USA in a fellows Proctor Neiport bipe....

(it sounds like a friggin motorcycle reving up!)

The Enya V-Twin was a perfect match for the proctor series of planes Awsome sound and good performance.

The word I got was that Enya had way to many problems with the V240's- like half of them would not run right- even after factory service. If you were fortunate enough to get a good one they ran great, if not you had a boat anchor. This is why they discontinued it.
And while a good Enya V is nice, Laser's are totally awesome!

Hi, Dean.
I was going through the Forums and came across yours on the Enya 2.40 V. I've got one I would be willing to sell if you are still interested. It has about ten or twelve flights on it.

thanks,

I still have one NIB. Sold the other NIB to a guy that said he was going to make a BIG twin engine plane. Both of my engines were purchased from Protor around 1990.

I believe I was running either a 20-8 or 22-8. More than likely 20-8...

Does anyone know if you can reverse the rotation on the VT-240 like you can on the other Enya 4-strokes? That would simplify my DC-3 operation by eliminating the "critical" engine.
