Default How hard is hovering on a 2 stroke engine?

I have a OS 46 FX on a Morris Knife (4 lbs 12 oz). It is running a little on the fat side. Will hovering for 3 or 4 minutes at time have bad effects?

You should be fine. At the end of the tank it will be leaner. But you're running a little rich so it's ok.

Hovering is no harder on an engine that flying horizontal as long as the engine is not lean. The bearings are designed to handle the load without any problems.

Hovering in one spot for three or four minutes will have the bad effect of you getting bored watching it
