Default Smoke

Hi, I recently crashed my plane. My O.S. .46 AX got sand all over it. I oppened to clean it and reassembled it again and it works just fine.

When the engine is off, if I turn the engine by hand, I can see smoke getting out of the muffler. Is this normal?

Thanks

yes, normal. depending on how you fuel you probably can see smoking coming out while you are fueling also. (there is smoke in the fuel tank after a run, so adding fuel forces that out pressure line into the exhaust.)

Yep!

Unhook the pressure line from the muffler, and the smoke will disappear.

(Be sure and hook the pressure line back up...)

It's a non-event. Part and parcel of an exhaust pressurized fuel system.

Don't worry about it.
