Default Problem??

I have the new OS MAX AX engine and had a few flights with it. Everything is fine on low throtle but if I go full throltle or somehwere close to that theres black stuff leaking out of the gap of the muffler halves like crazy. And I can see some making its way thruogh the pressure line into the tank. I think its just excess oil but not sure. I thought it was too rich and tried to lean it but if I lean it like 2 or 3 clicks it dies so I dont think it too rich. I had the same problem with the GMS 47 engine a litle while back. Any ideas of whats going on and how to fix it? Thanks

It's somewhat normal on a new engine to be a little black at first. A lot of times this is caused by the muffler moving around on the exhaust stack.

What eventually happened to your other engine?

Enjoy

I still fly with it now but I just didnt know how to make it run cleanly at full power cuz its a real mess if I leave it at full throtle for too long. The GMS 47 I returned it to the hobby store cuz it was all rusted and stuff and I can never get it to start even with a starter. The guy tried to see whats the problem is but he told me later that the engien was trash so he replaced it with the OS one that I have now.
