Hi all,I got a UCD 46 & OS 70 4Stoke last Xmass,today I fired up the os for running-in today.I was wondering how does the bottom of the engine get lube,there is no oil bath,the engine is mounted inverted,just curious:-)
Its my first 4stoke in 15 yrs of flying an I think Im gonna love it.

The engine is lubed by residual oil/fuel blowby past the piston.

I use Byron's fuel with 20% oil. Had both my OS 91fs apart to check their condition. Had the heads and backplates off and found plenty of oil in the crankcase,combustion chamber and in the valve train. Not to worry. Everything gets plenty of oil.

It might be too late now, but it's always a good idea to remove the valve cover and put some drops of after run oil on the rocker arms and pivots before you fire the engine up for the very first time.
