OS 91 muffler problems

Default OS 91 muffler problems

i have an OS 91 fourstroke in my GP Spacewalker. I am having problems keeping the muffler tight on the header pipe, it vibrated loose, and destroyed the threads inside the muffler , what can I do to keep this from happening again, It was tight when put on, Is locktite permenant ok..

I learned a trick on another newsgroup about this same engine and problem. Use 5 minute epoxy on the threads. Seemed wierd to me but is works great. It also can be simply screwed off and peeled away if you need to remove the muffler. Then just apply it again. Five minute works best since in never seems to get really rock hard.

thanks, i just bought a new muffler, as the threads on the old one were shot, but will try this on new one going on, thanks for the help....
