Im having a problem thats got me scratching my head. The Saito72 on my Funtana keeps dieing, the weird thing about it is that it only does it during a spin. Checked fuel lines and clunk, both are fine. Centerline of the tank is right with the carb and its just behind the firewall. The first time it happend I thought my idle was too low when I pulled the throttle back it just shut off but that wasnt it either. Im not using a regulator either, but I dont think thats the problem. Everyone I talked to about it is stumped too, they have never heard of such a problem. Any help would be great.

As the only things that are really affected by the forces in a spin are the clunk and the fuel in the tank, I think your next check is to see if the engine is more liable to cut if the spin is done with a low fuel level, or if it is equally likely to cut with a full tank.
My thought is the line on the clunk - it might be just that little bit too stiff and it doesn't stay in the fuel when the spin is throwing the fuel around.
So put the most flexible hose you can find on the clunk and try again.
Bill.

If it does it again get a tetras bubbles tank from Centeral hobbies. I wouldn't build, assemble, whatever a 3D plane again without one. They're pricy, a nuisance to fill, but it's really wonderful to go through 50 out of 50, really wring it out, flights without the engine quiting because the clunk managed to get away from the fuel for an instant.

Glad it worked out for you.
Denis is right too. The Tetra "Bubble-less" tanks look about the same as an ordinary poly tank, but they use a bladder inside, no air touches the fuel, the engine wont miss a lick until the fuel is gone.
