Question for you all, I want to be able to insert my glow plug ignitor into a fitting that will be on the outside of my fully enclosed/cowled engine. What part do I need and what exactly is it called. What are the different brands?
This is not an on-board glow ignition, just an ability to start my engine on the ground and then remove the ignitor.
Thanks

Thanks ShoestringRacer, I have an OS.52. Do you think I need the recessed unit or the standard unit? Or I suppose I could ask Tower when I order.
Thanks

I use the unit from Model Products (aka Sullivan) and I think it sucks. The cap that locks onto the glow plug is constantly jiggling around and will not stay tight despite all that I've tried to fix it. I think the dubro one would be better. In fact, I've seen some homemade ones that I think look much better. I may cut the cap end of mine off and solder on some type of clip or maybe even a wheel collar to it. That way it will secure to the glowplug better.
