Muffler ? OS FP,Magnum GP .10-.15
The OS FP and Magnum GP .10 and .15 muffles and possibly others have an extension in the muffler which makes it relatively longer than larger engine mufflers of the same type. Is this for some type of exhaust tuning or what. The reason for the question is I recently purchased an engine missing this extension. I have another which does have it. If the engine is run without it should I see a decrease in performance.

The only differance between the long and short versions on my O.S. .10 and .15 is that with the extension installed it was a little quieter then the short version. I did not see any power drop using either of them. I have run the same muffler on both O.S. and Magnum .10's and .15's and they run well with either.
