Liran,

Both engines are ABN designs; less durable than ABC. Take notice Udi Maman.
OS has not produced true ABC engines since the middle of the SF era.

Even the new AX has an ABN piston+liner, which they named "ABL".

The FP had 3 ports and made more power. The LA has only two, but looks better...

Contact adrian (look in the Members List) and ask him about the Chinese ASP/SC .52 clones.
If you are looking for reasonable power, both these engines are gross misfits.

Dar is right about the LA not having the boost port. However having less power is debateable. I think it actually has more power turning say a 10-6 prop. The boost port was only an advantage on smaller props. The C/L guys prefer the LA as it runs the 10-6 thru 11-5 props they use better and at a more consistant speed. Just hear say though as I don't own either.

The early LA's had the boost port but (coincidentally??) it was dropped at about the same time the peeling problems were supposedly addressed and there was no change in power output.
