Irvine 53 - something to watch for

My Feedback: (41)
I noticed while putting my carb back on after sending it back to JustEngines.com for service, that there was a little drop of dried red paint right on the engine surface where the O ring sits on. I took a hobby knife and cut it off and it is totally smooth. Anyone putting their carbs on should make sure there is no paint build up on that surface so the O ring seals properly. It could cause an air leak and make the engine not run as good.
By the way, JustEngines.com has great customer service. Also that Irvine 53 is an awesome engine.

just engines are fantastic... i have just ordered their own J'EN .56! i cant wait for it to arrive.
BTW how much did they charge for the irvine .53 service ? i could do with that as i think there is some dirt in there that i cant flush out (and i have not used the engine in fear of damage)

since i have a purple pipe .. do any of you know how to properly set up the length of the pipe according to the size of the engine etc??? if you know any one that may know, please give me their user name and i can PM them.

I am waiting for my engine (2nd batch) apparently the engines are in popular demand. sorry about what i previosly said about me getting my engine on the 4th july... i counted one month too many [:'(]
. i am going on holiday on the 18th of june and comming back on the 2nd of july.. so hopfully i can get the engine befor i go away.
Merlin also when paul emailed you did he say that the factory are able to keep the date because last time i emailed him he said he may have to go to china himself to talk with the factory boss. i havent heard anything from paul since so i am unsure what is going on.. Paul is exelent and has great customer service i give him [sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif]
