Default Spinner Balancing

Dave,
I am mounting a YS 91AC on a BTE Delta Vortex using a 3" aluminum spinner and I'm wondering how critical it is that the spinner and backplate be balanced?
Thanks.

It is important and I would at least check it on a balancer. Do the cone and backplate separately. Mark the heavy sides of each and try to mount them on opposite sides so they cancel out. It's better than cutting if it works.
