Default Ryobi 4cycle conversion?

Has anyone tried to convert the Ryobi 4 cycle weed wacker engine to RC use? I am going to attempt this by dumping the oil out of the crank case and running a 32:1 oil/gas mixture. I have two of these weed wackers that are very impressive. Plenty of power and smooth transition. One is a 30cc and the other is a 23cc.

Will be glad to hear from anybody, including 2 cycle conversion people.

Thank You

Default Ryobi four stroke

Doc. there is a website describing exactly how to do this, they work fine leaving the oil in crankcase. I was not aware that they made anything other than a 26 cc fourstroke. Someone will have to bail me out here with the web address. Woops I found it.

Thanks for the response. I'll try to find the web site. Maybe the 30cc is a 26cc. I'm going off of memory(not very good). There is nothing on it saying what size. The 23cc is a "brush cutter with an extra large string head and a steel blade auxillary attachment. I just picked it up at a discount(junk) store and it is a 23 cc. Factory reconditioned item.

Again, thank you very much.

I need to make a correction. Both of my weed whackers are 26cc. One is an older model with a larger valve cover. Maybe I'm confused with my 2 cycle Whackers or maybe just drinking a little too much home made wine. Even with owning all three of these machines my grass is still two feet high.

Default Ryobi 4cycle conversion?

I have converted the new model Ryobi 4cycle AC2 engine- a long learning process. This engine came with a Walbro WYL 9mm venturi carb with fixed jet, relatively small and lean to meet the environmental restrictions. I replaced the carb with a Walbro WYL 10.5 mm Venturi and size .48 jet. Also, removed the magneto and coil and replaced it with CH ignition. To reduce weight replaced the stock muffler. All of these resulted in significant increase in horsepower, I am turning 16X8 masterairscrew @ 7800 RPM.

At this time I am experimenting with a 11.1 mm venturi carb with adjustable high and low needles, optimistic to increase to 2 Hp from present 1.7. Note this engine was producing 1.1 with the stock carb and magneto.
