Welcome Jeff, and thanks for providing the forum with direct support for Enya Engines.
Like many others at my field I have the usual collection of OS, Saito, and Super Tigre engines with the usual good and bad reports about them. I also have one Enya 50 CX on a Morris Su-Do-Khoi. The Enya is the most flown engine (by far) and has been trouble free for three years, hundreds and hundreds of flights. People always me "what engine is that".
After all this use, the 50 CX has the same compression (chrome, I believe) and no bearing slop at all. Do you guys use a higher grade of bearing than is common in the industry? Are they stainless?

Some of the engines do use Stainless. I do not think the CX is one of them. However it has been my experiece as well that the Enya bearings do hold up much better to fuel and corrosion over time. Their metallurgy is very different and that leads to he longer life. We just lowered many prices on engines to help revitalize the line and to get more dealers to carry them. Hopefully it will work. They are great engines and hopefully we will be able to get Enya to release some newer enigines in the near future.
Yes the 50CX is chrome. I know the bearings they use are at least different sizes than other comparable engines.
