Default should they be run or saved?

Hi

I have two K&B 6.5s, one Pylon and the other front induction and rear exaust. The last was bought from someone who bought it from John Perry. Both never run. Should I run them? I am not worried so much for the value but because I do not want to ruin " the last of its kind."

Thanks Tom

Default Should I run it.

I have two or three engines that can't be had any more, an Abitar 120, OPS 120 OHC fourstroke, Maloney 125, two HiMax's a.91 and a 120 and I run em all. My theory is that it ain't an engine unless it does what it's supposed to do. One of these days I'm going to be dead so what good would it have been to have those engines all those years if I didn't run em.
