I have 4 engines right now:

magnum 46 - skymax trainer
magnum 25 - sukhoi
enya 40 - piper cub (rebuilding the fuse right now)
AND A VINTAGE RUSSIAN RADUGA 7M (7cc) - new - will go in a sturdy airframe cause it shakes like crazy. still a nice engine. like the power.

Hey Red,

The Raduga shakes like a dog sh-tting peach pits but is really incredibly powerful. I took mine apart and lathed the inside of the piston and put lead in the crank to try to smooth it out. It helped, but not enough that I trust it in an airframe. I may have to make a crank for it. The power output is nothing short of phenomenal. I just wish it was usable!

Well over 150 engines and kits, short kits, finished palnes, or planes in bones for all of them. (25) K&B (20) Enyas (14) Foxes (13) OS (10) Norvels (6) HPs (4) Rossi the rest are assorted glow and gas engies from .049 cu/ in-to 99cc.
I will most likely not get to most of them as age is closing in on me. Only 12 able to go in the air right now. 4 waiting for electronics installation. 14 in bones or final finishing stage. Many in minor repair state or need recovering. About half a dozen are partially built. I'm told that I should sell some, but I keep scratch building new ones from plans.

I just love your perspective on life in general. There seems to be no safe way to keep one of the opposite gender handy. Is best to exchange them monthly or so, but the time and money invested seems very disproportionate to the reward in about any way you go. GWillie, you are my new hero, and i wish i were related so I could be in your will!!! I think I will print out a color picture of your attachment and hang it on my wall for something to aspire to.
Beautiful collection and nice display. I thought about putting mine in a glass case, but then my wife would know how many I actually have!

I have maybe a dozen engines in boxes and six flying.

Yall are way too organized for me. Written lists!? I am impressed. Also embarrassed that I have no such list. All to the good though. You have shamed me into coming up with an inventory within the next year or so.

BTW any of you have any ignition engines (I mean 1947 and earlier)?

Jess, as you can see my list was not complete, I forgot about the Tartan 1.34 and the Quadra 35. I'll have to update the My Doc. list now. I wish the numbers would re-arrange them selves so I could keep them in order, I am not willing to re-write all those #s to keep it straight.

Interesting topic. I just went in my shop and counted my engine collection. 15 ! small potatoes compared to some of you guys. It is a sickness. Many have never been run, some I run untill they're worn out. Engines are my favourite part of the hobby. They are sort of like little works of art. Precision miniatures that I enjoy looking at and even running sometimes. I have a real fondness for the four strokes. Lots of moving parts. I have used and sold many over the years, so I guess 15 is not tooooo bad.

Looking at some of you guys makes me feel much better about my "dismal" collection. I guess I won't feel bad if I buy a couple more (humm, which do I need next....)[sm=rolleyes.gif]

I always was attracted to the old ignition engines, like the O&R. I'd love to have one on the wooden rail display with the coil.

One of my favorites is an old OS .60 w/ open rockers. I love to just oogle over the machinery!!

Saitos are still my favorites.

Another cool one I enjoy looking at is a HP 4-stroker (Austrian). Still looking for the right plane for most of my power plants.
