How many engines do you own? I was surprised to realize that I have 34 engines. 7 are on flying models and the rest are just sitting around waiting on airframes. I guess that either it is an illness or I just can't pass up a good deal

I have a total of 6 motors now. I let a Webra 61 speed and Enya 61 4 cycle go for free 2 years ago...regretting that a little now...

It's definitely an illness. I have the same problem with kits.

Just ask Walt.

I just counted mine the other day... 21. Only two are flying right now! (A couple of recent crashes have accounted for that low number, and I fly a couple of electrics, too.)

Two-cycles:
13 Super Tigre
3 Thunder Tiger
1 Tower

Four-cycles:
3 Saito
1 Magnum

I'm not one to purchase something R/C without it having a specific purpose. I've got three engines, had three airplanes to fly them. One airplane was sold without the engine, but will be replaced by another one shortly. Soon I will again have three airplanes with three engines.

Default Whats in your engine locker???

I read recently a post on another site whereas a gentlemen excused himself as a plane $lut... I laughed for a while, being I could easily relate...

I have upwards of 40 flyable aircraft from little combat planes to 44% Giant Scale Aircraft. Additionally I have many in various stages of completion.

Some where around 90 plus engines.

I own and fly:

1/12 scale combat and pylon racers.
Q500, QM40 and FAI Pylon racers.
Warbird Pylon racers.
Warbirds from .25 size to 100 inchers, including twins.
Fun fly, Sport and 3D Aerobatic models. [.40 - .91 size]
Mid-size Aerobatic models.
Giant Scale Aerobatic models.
Pattern Aircraft.
Jet Aircraft.

I also have:
Helicopters
Cars, Trucks and boats.
G-scale R/C operated trains.

I like em all........ They all fly different... Their also cheaper to maintain than the ex.... And they provide distraction and excitement win I'm ready... Whenever I feel like it... As often as I like...

Owing to the fact that I have a very difficult time ignoring a good deal wether its off the "Net" or Mailorder or even in a LHS I think I have more NIB engines sitting in my shop than at least of 6 Bay Area LHS's have in individual stock. I have plans for nearly all of them - I think?

Running:

OS: 2-.40 fp 1-.61
TT: 1-.46
K&B 1-.48
Saito 1-.72

non running
RJL 1-.61

I seem to have collected enough planes to mount all engines.

The last time I counted, several years ago, I had over 100 and I ain't counting again. I currently have 23 power planes any one of which could be flown by tomorrow with engine and radio installation tonight. I didn't count the gliders.

Am I sick or what?

You guys can actually count how many you have had?
Hmm.
Presently I have four that I use.
I once tried to remember how many I have owned -got lost-
I do remember most of the brands tho-
-I counted over forty cars I had owned.
You have to be a little nuts to do this.
Of single brands I have had - Start with an Atom-.09 my first engine! Then Arden-
what is weird is that now I am up to Z ! ZDZ.
In the middle are odd ones such as a Marvin (still have it in the box) A Gold Star (Chinese twin -awful)a Bluestreak-a Redshift-and lots of OS-YS-a few Foxes-McCoy-Tee Dees- Wasp-Super Tigers by the hogsheads-Saitos-etc..
But I sell em and replace with stuff -I find more interesting and applicable to interests.
I also have some one off bar stock engines .quite old -
These are in the looky see only file.
Why so many? Who knows-I like to experiment in getting max performance from them. The same as I did with cars. This is less time and money intensive tho---

I have only five, but four of them are flying. Well not flying right this minute. But they are flyable. That is if I can fly them. And oh the four flyable ones are in airplanes.

I have five PAW diesels, one davis conversion of a os fp .10 and one enya .46 4c (glow). I had a hpvt .21 4 stroke that my wife gave me as a wedding gift and like a bonehead I sold it. A foolish move that I do not recomend to others.

It is my plan to have only diesels of all sizes and electric park flyers.

A PAW .15 r/c on a Clancy Lazy Bee, a PAW .03 r/c on a Clancy Yard Bee, a PAW .09 r/c NIB, a PAW .09 c/L (used), a PAW .06 c/L (old), a Davis conversion of a OS FP .10 r/c on a Clancy Stagger Bee and a brand new MP Jet .061 r/c diesel that will go on a Designs that fly Biplane. I have yet to run the MP Jet, but if it runs like it looks then ALL small diesels will be an MP Jet ( how about my SR Batteries X-250???). All larger diesels will be Davis conversions.
