I'm looking to power a .60 size plane with this engine. It's a sport-3D ship with a fully symmetrical airfoil.

Any suggestions? Is this a good plant?

I love my ST G75, but it is not a powerhouse and it doesn't have the crispest throttle response either. If you want to do 3D with a .60 class ship, you're better off with something like a Saito 100 or a lightweight 2stroke .91 or 1.08.

The G75 is a little heavy for the power output, but once you break one in properly, man, it lasts forever.

Get the ST90. It is lighter than the ST75 and has more power!

I have a 60 size Big Stick with a ST-75 on it. No problem, one of my most trouble free engines. I also have a ST-90 and have thought often about installing it. It has identical hole pattern, costs is about equal and has much more power as noted in the previous response. I vote for the ST-90 but its your choice!

The ST 75 and ST 90 share the same crankcase (much like the OS 61 and 91), which is why the 75 seems heavy for the power. If you are looking to do 3D, you'll probably want the power of the 90...
