I recently acquired a used thunder tiger 40 GP engine, which did not include a carb or remote needle valve. I am looking to replace these parts in order to make the engine operational. I understand thunder tiger replacement parts can be difficult to obtain. Does anybody either know where I could obtain this part or if there is a carb from another brand of engine that I might try looking for?

Can you measure the flange size on the crankcase in mm.? More than
likely, the Magnum .40-.46 carb will fit. It comes either front or remote
needle position. It is a double needle carb. [sm=thumbup.gif]

The Thunder Tiger GP engines are bushing motors, with air bleed carbs. I have the 42 GP. If that is the same thing? After a crash, I was thinking of replacing mine, but it has a weird flange mounting for the carb. I just ended up JB welding the old one in. I usually get my parts from www.ehobbies.com They have most of the Thunder Tiger parts.

The Thunder Tigre 40 is a clone of the OS40FP also the Tower 40 is a copy of the OS40 FP. All parts are interchangeable Tower sells parts for the tower and the old 40fp. Assitionally there are a few more motors that have carbs that will fit.
