Irvine engines

RE: Irvine engines
Absolutely they are good, one of the best engines made! I've heard that Sig dropped importing them in the USA...?
Go directly to the Just Engines website in England where they are made. Paul ships to the USA every day.

RE: Irvine engines
Irvine engines are made over here in the UK and a lot of British rc flyers like them as much as/better than, OS - can't say better than that! Irvine also make a 46 size and a 53 - I don't know anything about the Skyraider model you mention, but would you benefit from a larger size?

RE: Irvine engines
The Irvine .40 will be OK, no, infact better than OK in the WM Mach II. The .46 would be awsome and the .53 will rip the wings off. Can't say better than that.

RE: Irvine engines
I've got two Irvines - an .36 and a .53. Great engines, real good runners. Both required little or no break-in and have run flawlessly from the get-go. As good or better quality and performance than O.S. IMO. Yes, price is an issue. Mine were purchased through Just Engines in the UK and the price was reasonable at the time. The exchange rate's not that favorable now.

RE: Irvine engines
I have the Irvine .40 (MkII) on my Skyraider II and it is good combination. It balances perfectly with no additional weight. A fun fly but not a speed demon. A .46 would really bring this plane to life.
Several posters have had trouble with GoldenStateRc, so call them before placing your order.
Enjoy.
