I have a Super Tigre 51 engine in an Aresti 40. The engine is inverted, can anyone please tell me how to set this engine up? I have placed the fuel tank in the proper position, but before I turn it over to start, fuel just starts to flow out the carb. I would like to set up a perry pump, but I am not sure how to position it and how to run with it.
Thanks

I use Hemostats (Surgical /pliers) they pinch the line after fueling (and lock on) until I am ready to start the engine. They keep the fuel from entering the carb before I am ready (too low).
You may end up leaning the low speed a bit in this position...

When you say the fuel tank is in the proper position does this mean in relation to the centre of the carb? In other words, is the centre line of the tank close to the centre of the carb? Has the engine been run and the main needle set properly? With these two things set correctly then syphoning is normally very slow. Syphoning can't be avoided with a full tank if there's fuel in the line to the carb so it's best not to fill a tank until immediately before you're ready to go fly.
You've got an excellent engine there so I presume it's had a lot of rich running in?

Yes it has been broken-in by the manufactures recommendations. The carb is located in the same level as the carb. Once it is stared it runs fine but it has it's problems up in the air. The needles are set correctly. I really want to set up a Perry pump V30. Any suggestions?

I was running my Saito 72 in my Aresti, I had no problems other than first starts, its hard to get the fuel into the carb as its inverted. Use a refueling rig as this will stop fuel from flooding the carb as you fuel up. Be patient in tuning, needles will be set leaner than normal. Its not hard to run and engine inverted. I ran a 4C and 2C inverted and both were great but you need to be a little patient only.
