Default OS 25FX Transition

I have an almost new OS 25 on a Taco Lite with about 25 four-oz tanks of fuel run through it, and I still am having a very slow transition from idle to full power. High end is fine, low end idles well and has a moderate increase in rpm when pinch tested, but the transition is no good. Doesn't bubble or throw out black smoke, does act like it takes several deep breaths. Any help would be seriously appreciated.

Sounds like you have it overpropped or the low end is rich.

Low end may still not be right. Might be to heavy of a prop + spinner. Start with a rich low end and give small tweeks to lean. Tune it for a good transition. I think all low ends should be tunable while it's running, it would be a lot easier to do.

This time of year in Sparta (the original home of "In The Heat of The Night") , The cold air will make your 2 cycle slow to respond to a throttle increase compared with the way it was last summer...

Enjoy,

Jim

Thanks, Jim, but I am such a wimp that I would never fly in Sparta this time of year. I forgot to mention that I am in Tucson AZ for the winter and won't return till after the spring thaw.

I'm in the South too just for the winter.

Hope you get your engine going.

Enjoy,

Jim
