Default Which .15 engine?

I am going to buy a new .15 engine and would like some recommendations. I going to use this on a slow flying plane so long, reliable runs, not speed, are the most important concern. I've had mostly O.S in the past but not married to any particular brand.

Thanks for your input

MVVS make great engines at a good price: if you want to use a slow revving option the diesel will turn a bigger prop.

I guess you've been using glows in the past, but a diesel would be an option worth serious consideration in that size.

Check this out for the details:

but you can get them in the States from Morris Hobbies (if their site is working...):

Good luck with your search.

The OS 15 LA is a good little engine. I have had one for quite a while, stills runs strong and very reliable, which is what your after. Suprisingly one of the more powerful 15's on bigish props, keeps up with the BB 15's.

Hello; I had an FP15 on a little electricub, that was a great engine. I also had a thunder tigre 15, I don't remember much about that one, I traded it for a Saito. I curently have an Enya 15 in a 4 20, that's a great little engine too, a little noisier then the FP but also a little more powerfull. I thnk my favorite would be tne Enya 15.

Fox makes a great little (6oz.) 15 size engine. Ball bearings, smooth running, easy starting. Last time I looked they were still $65 at Quantum.

What kind of slow flying plane? Could it handle a little extra weight? If so, consider a small 4 stroke. Saito and OS both have .30 sized that are great. Nothing beats the sound of a 4 stroke on a slow flying plane.

The Fox is a good high performance .15. If you don't need the performance and want to spend less the TT .15 is good. Better than the OS LA.

I think if you go to the "Hot Deals" section and scroll down to "More Hot Deals" in the Sheldons Hobby website they have Fox .15BB's for $49.

Takes a few tanks to break in, but goes like snot.

I've got a LNIB TT GP .15 engine for sale that would suit your needs quite well IMO. See my
ad in the RCU Marketplace. $40 will put it in your hands and it comes with
an OS #8 plug and an OS spinner nut...those alone are worth an
additional $7.50. I will guarantee you will be happy with it or I will refund
your money...less shipping. I prefer PayPal though a money order would
be fine, too. Let me know...thanks!

I've bought motors from Gene you won't be dissapointed. He is a good and honest man to deal with. You get what he advertises.
