Default Help w/inverted Webra

I need help with an inverted Webra .61. It is in a Venus, today was to be the maiden flight. I couldn't get it to run with any reliability. If I could get it running full throttle, it ran well there. Idle acted rich coming down from full throttle, seemed to go lean then die. Fuel was dripping out from the carb due to siphon effect. When I turned the plane upside down, the engine started and ran great. I have an inverted ST in my 4* and it runs great. The Venus has a rather high fuel tank in relation to the carb. Any help out there? I am almost ready to order a YS63 for this.
Thanks for the help, Mike

I had a Super Tigre G51 on a U-CAN-DO .46 that did the same thing and I had a Great Planes Easy Fueler Valve on mine. What I did was lean out the low end until I had a nice idle. When I was not flying, I keep the fuel line hooked up to the fuel value so the fuel wouldn't siphon back into the carb. Just start leaning out the low end until you get a good idle and don't remove the fuel line out of the fueler until you have refueled and ready to start the engine.

I would lower the tank except there is a structural bulkhead in the way, it would be totally removed. I think I've got two options. Install a regulating pump or mount the engine horizontal. Thanks, Mike
